Tactical Precision Rifles Law Enforcement Military
I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful opportunity to own such a fine piece of precision equipment. I have been firing so called precision weapons for some time now and it wasn't until I laid hands on my new M40-A5 that I realized what I was missing. This thing is extraordinary, I wish I was a good enough shooter to fully exploit the potential of this weapon. Attached is a ten round group fired at 100 yds with 175 Black hills BTHP, that even with a called flyer, could still be easily covered with a nickel! I'll tell you this, it is a good thing for the Anti-Iraqi Forces that I didn't have this rifle during my visit to the republic of Iraq. David, I have not only received a new custom hair splitter but gained new friends with you, Travis, and Scott. I am forever greatful.

Hi Travis, I have gone to the range twice and have just finished up the break-in. I have yet to go past 100 yrds but so far this thing SHOOTS! I was laughing because one of the other testimonials said, “he thought he was missing the target because they kept going through the same hole”. I put 10 rds in a 0.6” group, but that was edge to edge not center to center, I could not believe it. After that group, it was like show and tell at the range, people would not leave me alone. Where did you get it, how much, how’s long of a wait etc.? No body could believe it was with Federal GMM (factory) ammo. I will send more when I stretch its legs.
Thanks
One happy customer

Congratulations to Ron Battista of Orange County Sheriff's Office for winning the Individual Sniper Match at 2007 25th SWAT Round-up International and to Orange County for winning the team event
David, Hope all is well with you, staff and family. My May prairie dog hunt in South Dakota was excellent. One day of wind was a challenge in maintaining barrel stability but accuracy levels of both the M 40 A 1-3, .308 caliber, and the SVR semi-auto in .204 Ruger were flawless. The noted "gun expert" who proclaimed in one of the magazines that he was not impressed with the .204 as a varmint cartridge, fearing a rodent fart would send it off course, was at best ill-informed and at worst simply ignorant. The SVR rifle consistently made 400 yard shots. Single shots, not multiple "in the neighborhood" lucky shots. Maintaining sight picture with the .204 is absolutely automatic. Accuracy was maintained for over 3 days with only minimal bore swabbing. (I know, better care is mandated) The "black rifle" expert in or group salivated over it so much, I feared an issue with rust. My companions appropriated the SVR to the point I had to ration ammo in order to get my rifle back.
The M40 A1-3, .308 cal. was everything I wanted when I first spoke with you about a custom, hand-built, accurate rifle. My aging eyes had a little difficulty with 6" dogs at 500+ yards. Inside that, the long range prairie dog acrobatics were wonderful. The kinetic energy-inspired flips were Olympian. For amusement, we would shoot silhouettes at 650 yards after shooting up a town.
Again I want to thank Tactical Rifles for their incredibly well-built and accurate rifles, and exceptional customer service. Never have I had a question or issue both pre- and post-production of my rifles, that has not been immediately and satisfactorily addressed. Sincerely;
BA
I really cannot understate how appreciative I am for all your valuable time. Your company has some of the greatest customer service reps I have ever seen in my life, and that was a major factor in my decision to look into getting a rifle from you. Well, that, and the fact that you build one helluva rifle, the best I've seen in a long, long time. Thanks again

I am looking for the price and total length for your M4C. Looks like another great rifle. I wanted to let you know that I purchased your Para rifle a couple of years ago and its the greatest rifle that I have ever laid my hands on!!! I can't miss!!! I can't wait to get this one. Thanks
EM
Damn.. you always blow me away with the level of customer service. Thanks for a quick reply and trying to get something rolling... I wasnt expecting a reply or ackowledgement for 24hrs or so. When you do something like this i KNOW im spending my money with the right guys. Thanks
AW
Thanks Guys. Still shooting quarters($.25) @ 200yards. I am finally getting my reloads down, Still have about 2.5k Ferdal Gold Medal Match ammo to keep zeroed in. I still pratice drying firing from the pool table that has helped. Also after the recomemtion of looking in to the 178 grain A-max bullet. Are there any competions where I can shoot using the bi-pod and a rest for the rifle butt? I would like to try some type of competition where I won't have to shoot free hand etc. As you can tell the rifle and spotting scope you guys hooked me up with has been one of my best investment. Having it as a hobby after all the surgeries and now being retired. Merry Christmas and a prosperous NEW YEAR. Thank you again

Before making this purchase, I did extensive research, and your company definitely stood above the rest. Not only do you provide a superior product, you truly have an emphasis on customer service.
I’d like to take the opportunity to let you know how helpful Chris was. His knowledge and expertise, in relation to the law enforcement application, was invaluable in helping me build the perfect rifle. His enthusiasm and passion was very evident. He represents your company well.
Thanks

Congratulations to Idaho State Police Shooting Team. Officers Sweesy and Santo, came in 2nd and 4th respectively in the Oregon State Sniper Championship.
Picture Left to Right Marc Santo, Jerod Sweesy, Scott Ward, and Mike Cox. Marc was using a Tactical M40 in 300 Win Mag, Jerod’s rifle was a Tactical M40 in 308 Win.
The best shooting rifle I have EVER shot, Thanks

As I sit here waiting for the Lyman 1200 to warmup I thought I would drop you a line. Things have been going very good with my reloading and all the equipment you hooked me up with. I have shot a few 1/2' three shot groups at 200 yards, with the 178 gr. Amax and the H-380 powder. The advise you gave me about the dry firing practice has sure paid off and made it seem like I can't miss. The rifle has the boys at the range just drooling over it, especially when I take these small targets out to the 200 yard berm I can tell they are all moving their spotting scopes over to the targets. I just wanted to thank you for all of your help.....I know I e-mailed you quite a bit. It is always good to have a company that is always eager to help and be available. Once again I want to thank you for all the help with every question I have had and delivering a rifle that has surpassed all of my wildest dreams. Thanks again
CS
Hey man thanks for the shirts and sorry for losing touch. We have been hard at it lately. It has been paying off though. Not much longer and we will be heading home too. Everyone is ready for that. I took a pic of the plt in the t-shirts and attached it. Thanks again I hope you all enjoy. Let me know when that Para II is ready. I am interested in seeing that. Take care man and I will be in touch.
Chris
Here is the target of my first three shot group followed up by a 10 shot group. (13 consecutive shots). I wanted to see how the rifle performed while extremely hot. As you can see, I wasn't disappointed. This was all done with factory Federal GM 168 grn.

Congratulations to Ron Battista and Chris Eklund of Orange County Sheriff’s Office who came second overall in the 2006 Snipercraft Match. 57 of the Country’s top LE teams competed in this challenging match. Ron’s rifle is a 24” Tactical M40 in 308 with a Leupold Mark 4 6.5-20x50 scope.
Congratulations to Dave Fortier on winning a 600yd prone match with one of our Tactical M40’s on 10/8/06:
Here's that group I fired in competition 10/08/06 at a 600 yard prone match in Hampden Maine. Target is your standard NRA High Power 600 yard target. It includes my sighters and 20 rounds for record. Load was Federal 175 grain Gold Medal Match. You can see 10 rounds nestled into 2.75 or so inches. Score was 200-15x.

I thought i had to drop you guys a line and thank you for the awesome M40 .308 you guys built for me. This thing kicks ass. I took it to the range and the guys there said, "Yep, it looks pretty but can it shoot?"
I filled the 10rd mag with Federal Match (i know you guys like to use Gold Medal but it was all i had to hand). Rested the rifle on sand bags and rapid fired the 10rds at a 100yd target. The guys couldn't believe it when i came back to the point with this target. The muzzle brake works like a dream.
I can't wait for my first competition with it. I just want to say a big thanks and would recommend you guys to anyone who take accuracy seriously.

This is the best experience I have had with anyone in the gun industry. They answered all my questions promptly and completely. They have the best customer service PERIOD. I had sent out a few e-mails to other shops, but Tactical Rifles was the only shop that responded so quickly and completely. I also inquired a little more into having my rifle rebarreled and I got an unexpected phone call from David which really helped me decide what I wanted to do. Give them the opportunity and these gentlemen will earn your business.

There is only one choice when buying a precision rifle….Tactical Rifles. They built me a .308 folder that is consistently ‘dead on’ every shot. There is no compromise when it comes to accuracy and durability. In a highly volatile world, you can’t afford to be holding anything else.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each individual who was involved in building my gun. When i received it on monday and it was everything i expect and more as far as appearance. What was hard was waiting till today (sunday) to shoot it. After i zeroed it in and did the shoot clean break-in for the first 10 round, got a clean target and shoot 3 rounds at @ 3/8" at 100 yard gmm 168 bthp and was also so a little windy, so all i can say to everyone who ask me about my gun is that I would highly recommend them to you guys for any custom gun to be built for 1st class service, top quality guns, and excellent turn around time all for a great price. Thanks again and hopefully to have a 300 win mag built down the road.

Hey fellows, I wanted to share with ya'll my latest addition to my collection of mounts coming in at a heathy 345lbs.
MR
Here is the 100yrd. group that I shot today. it is 5 rounds, and was nice and tight, but if you think about it, 5 rounds that close, and it kinda stretched the group some, LOL.

I had recent back surgery and before surgery I had made up my mind that I wanted to get back into shooting and reloading again. 20 years ago I started in ISHMA and reloading the 7mmTCU. So when I started researching places to purchase my first custom made rifle I came across the article about the company Tactical Rifles.
Long story short, I have my M40A1 and have been enjoying everything that comes with rifle, from the cleaning to the reloading, to the shooting and becoming a member of the Palm Springs Gun Club.
I just want to tell you how I enjoyed your article on the Tactical M40-A5.
Also, to let you know about my experience dealing with Tactical Rifle.
Being my first custom rifle, I was take by the hand and given the 1st class treatment in the steps toward my purchase by David Rooney. From my first e-mail to inquire about the rifle to actual delivery I have to tell you that Tactical Rifle will be the company I would buy a rifle from.
David was patience with all of my questions and helped me with making my rifle ready to shoot as soon as I could get it unpackaged.
They were also very helpful in getting me set up with the reloading.

I stand behind your product and service 100%. I am a firm believer in quality. I am also a firm believer in brand loyalty. You treat me right and you have a customer for life. I have always been that way. I would rather pay more for something and have a good relationship with a company, then save a few dollars and get shitty customer service or a product that wasn't up to my expectations. Then have to hassle to get anything done or try to talk to somebody about the product only to find out they don't know anything about the product, or have an I don't really care attitude. You know the types. Once the sale is final, they don't care about ya anymore.
Sometimes you have to pay a little more for something, but it is always worth it in the end for me anyway when the end result is great customer service, a good customer/business relationship and a superior product that has met or exceeded ALL my expectations.
Here is a 5 shot group i shot at 300yds. That group is thanks to you guys, I only pull the trigger, you guys did all the work.

I do not know where to begin. The Tactical LR that you and Scott have put together for me is simply in a class of its own. The performance is outrageous to say the least. What impressed me the most is not just an outstanding rifle at a more than reasonable price, it was the way I was treated by Scott and yourself from the very beginning. I know it was no secret to you that I had never purchased a custom rifle prior to this. I must say that I was taken back by our first conversation, but soon realized that I was being interviewed for my rifle to insure that I was given the best advice for needed features on the rifle that would best fit my needs. The amazing thing to me was that this was only the beginning of my adoption, if you will, by you and your staff. When speaking to my friends about my rifle, the point I stress the most is the continued customer service provided after the sale of the rifle. I was curious about your product when I walked into your shop and I was very comfortable about my decision to purchase the rifle when I left, but I never realized how satisfied I would be with the product. I would challenge anyone to test fire one of your rifles and not want to purchase one. If you ever run into a potential customer who has some doubts about your products or your dedication to your customer, I would ask that you have them give me a call and I would be glad to share my experience with them.

Look at this little whitetail I killed in Texas (164 7/8 B&C Main Frame 9 point with two kickers 22'" ID spread). I want to let you know that I killed 4 deer over 300yds in the neck with My .300WSM and one pig close to 400yds. When I shot the pig it was pretty dark and used everything that 9X36X50 scope had. The guide in the stand with Me couldn't even see the pig it was that dark. I'm so impressed with this gun. It's one thing to enjoy the outdoors and go hunting, but it's awesome to pull the trigger on game animals with this rifle you built. I almost feel like I'm cheating! My friends are so impressed. Hope you and the guys had a great Christmas and have a happy New Year.
MR - TX
I can't thank you enough for your excellent Tactical M40. I used it on a roe deer hunting trip to Scotland and despite days of soaking from the horrible wet weather, it performed perfectly! In spite of the weather and the airline handlers, my M40 held perfect zero without any problem. One shot, one kill - can't ask for anymore than that!

I've always done extensive research in the pursuit for the best, no matter what I bought, with cost not being considered an option. It's been a life long dream of mine to one day purchase the “Ultimate rifle”. The Tactical LR .300WSM I purchased from you has fulfilled that dream in ways words just can't describe. The Gun shoots unbelievable groups and exceeded my expectations. I must say I'm a very picky person and demand the best; Tactical Rifles really came through. On another note I must also comment on the one on one personal relationship with You Guys. Starting from our first conversation discussing the details etc. on my gun, I could immediately feel the pride and the same compassion I had. I will be ordering another gun from TR next year; one of these guns is just not enough for me.
Thanks for everything
MR
Picked the rifle up a couple of weeks ago. Many many thanks for the great work.

I just felt the need to take a minute and thank you all for opening my eyes to what a great rifle should be. Last year I had the opportunity to take one of my friend's rifles hunting. It just so happened to be one that you all built for him. We usually seem to have pretty good luck but on this day the deer winded me and were hung up around 500 yards out. With all of the raving he had done about his wonderful rifle I decided to give these deer a shot. I killed this fine specimen at a distance of 515 yards. Definitely the longest kill of my life! The gun was a delight to shoot and definitely lived up to the hype. The only question now is when you can build me one?
Thanks,
JS
I just wanted to take a moment and thank you all for your hardwork and craftsmanship on your fine rifles. Ever since I shot the .300 WSM that you all built me it has been a dream come true. It is reliable, accurate, and easy to shoot. I know that a majority of your business is dedicated to tactical applications, however I find it an amazing hunting rifle. Last year I used it to take a great 12 point buck in Texas at a distance of 312 yards. The difference in this shot was the total confidence that I have in the rifle that you built. It shoots where you aim! What a difference this has on one's psyche. Thanks!!!
With pleasure,
J.D.P
One word to describe the rifle - AWESOME!!!!! I finally got to fire it yesterday at the 100 yd range. Within 3 shots I was zeroed. The successive rounds were in less than 1/2 groups at 100 yards with a slight breeze! Amazing! The muzzle brake is truly awesome. It make a huge difference in recoil. Well worth the $$. BTW, the machining on the brake-to-barrel fit is so good, they look like one solid piece! The 16x scope is crystal clear. Some of the best optics I have seen. The adjustments are VERY accurate.
It was funny, a law enforcement friend of mine had his LTR at the next shooting position. He was shooting too. He had previously bragged about his rifle, and I used to be jealous of him. That was one of the reasons I wanted to get in to precision rifles. Well after five rounds from my M40 damed near went through the same holes (I actually walked to the target once because I somehow thought I missed the entire target...only to find that the bullets clipped the same hole!) he asked if he could try it. I let him. After his two rounds almost went through the same hole, he said, "Damn! And I used to think I had a precision rifle! Where did you say you got that???"
The hardest part of shooting the rifle yesterday was breaking her in and cleaning after every round! I couldn't wait to fire the next one!
Oh yeah, and that was with re-loads (168 gr Match King bullets)!
Awesome! I can't wait to hit the range again!
Thanks guys!

Well I want to thank you guys for helping put together my rifle back this summer. I have put many rounds through it (well just over the break-in but it is a lot for me and the time that I have) and it shoots great! I have shot the half inch groups that you promised and have almost put a 3 round group through the same hole. My friend actually took it and shot through a jagged hole... Just a little practice and I will be good to go.

This is the first time I’ve ever ordered a custom rifle for any one and it has been a lot easier than I expected. You guys go the extra mile, I’ve been really impressed. I may have to try and find a large prairie dog town around the area and get you guys out here to shoot.
Thanks
Mike M - TX
Tell Scott I really appreciate his efforts in getting the rifle ready in such quick order. At 3PM on a Thursday afternoon most folks would have told me I'd just have to wait (and I'm not good at that). Scott had me out the door with my dream rifle by 4PM. Setting on the benchrest at the gun club it turned quite a few heads. I had a little problem at first in that it took about 30 rounds before we hit the paper and I was quite frustrated. Then we went back to the basics and bore sighted through the barrel and within 5 rounds had found the 10 spot dead center. After that we were shooting the nest groups of five within the 1/2". I could not be happier with the rifle.
Thanks

I took delivery yesterday of my Tactical LR from Scott at the shop. It is everything and more than I was hoping for and I have not even shot it yet! That part will have to wait for tomorrow and my impatience will surely be difficult to handle.

This email is to thank you, Scott, Bruce and the rest of the team for such a well done product. It simply reeks of quality and craftsmanship! I compare it to a sleek jet fighter, race car or sport bike... One look and you just know how it will perform. Thank you - I truly feel like I am one of the elite few to own such a quality piece.
RM - FL
I must tell you, That is THE MOST ACCURATE rifle I have ever put to my shoulder! More accurate than my other custom Remington. My targets looked almost like yours! I took it out to 200 yds. and the groups oped up only an 1/8". They were still under 1/2"!!!!! I couldn't believe it!!!!!!!! This was with the Federal Gold Medal ammo. 1/2" groups at 200 yds. with factory ammo? I never thought it possible!!! You sold me a truly awesome rifle! I couldn't be happier. I'll take it with me to the grave.

Thank you very very much.
Tony.
TR Rifles has what it takes to build highly accurate weaponry. After inspection of three of their fine rifles, I selected the 308 folder. I have performed extensive evaluation of this weapon in the accuracy, ruggedness, and deployability of this weapon and I was impressed in all facets. If their other rifles are as good as my purchase, you can't go wrong with any of the "TR" weapons.

The test results on these rifles define the term "accuracy". I could not imagine a tactical rifle shooting any tighter groups! Obvious care was given to every aspect of the building process. Congratulations on a topnotch product!

I've been using precision rifles for over 20 yrs and have been pleasantly surprised not only by the quality of product offered, but also by the good communication and efficient service of Tactical Rifles. Other companies have left me waiting for custom rifles for over a year, when these guys delivered me exactly what I asked for inside the time that that quoted for production!
D.B.
Great rifle, good communication, I highly recommend this product, which was above expectation.

The .308 Tactical Rifle you recently built for me is superbly accurate! The rifle shoots every bit as well as you claimed it would. Thanks again and I look forward to putting many rounds through my rifle.
G.
I got the Folder and it is superb! Just got back from the range where I sighted it in with the Leupold. Only shot at 75yds, but shot about a .30" 5 shot group....with my loads! Super. I will square up with you on the additional $40 I owe you difference on our deal since I am taking the 10 rd magazine for the gun. Thanks again.....the gun was worth waiting for!
PR
I was able to fire my first three round group at 100 yards after the initial 10 break in. 1/4 moa is certainly what I would call acceptable. 1/4" is also on the generous side. i am pleased.

Here are the targets we spoke about on Saturday, the rifle shoots great way better than I ever expected. Thanks again for building me the most accurate rifle I have ever put my hands on.
