Our Tactical SVR (Special Varmint Rifle) looking very little like the conventional AR15, raises the ante, yet again, for accuracy. The same attention to detail is bestowed upon the SVR as on the other AR type rifles, however, the addition of a full profile heavy barrel and aluminum free float forend make this a top selection for those demanding the ultimate precision semi-automatic .223. Groups of a ½" maximum center to center are guaranteed!

A Krieger heavy match grade barrel is hand fitted. Twist rates may be specified by the customer to enable bullet weight be tailored to their individual requirements, though for LE & varmint type uses the 1 in 12" twist rate is most popular due to its outstanding performance with 40gr frangible bullets. Military customers may lean toward the 1 in 7" or 1 in 9" as being better suited for heavy bullets (62-77gr) intended for longer-range energy retention than standard ball ammunition.
The ability of the Tactical SVR to group better with factory loads at 200yds than most so called varmint rifles can at 100yds brings to mind the old adage - "only accurate rifles are interesting" and this is truly an interesting rifle!
External metalwork is given, as with every one of our rifles, an 'extreme environment' finish, however for non-tactical use, some customers prefer to opt for a stainless barrel with a brushed finish.
